Promoting Whole-person Health & Wellness in the Faith Community

Donate To FCNSEF to help us continue to do the work we do.

At the Faith Community Nurses of Southeast Florida (FCNSEF), our call is sacred:
to place a nurse in every faith community, bringing wholistic care—body, mind, and spirit—where it is needed most.
This ministry simply could not grow, flourish, or heal without supporters like you.

Your gifts allow us to carry forward this mission in powerful and transformative ways:

Scholarships for the Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Course

Opening the door for nurses to answer their call to serve their congregations with professional training, compassion, and spiritual presence.

Hearts Renewed Retreat Scholarships

Supporting nurses who are suffering from compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and the emotional toll of caregiving. Your donations help us provide a sacred space for rest, prayer, healing, and renewal.

Health & Wellness Programs in Congregations

Empowering faith communities with education, screenings, outreach ministries, and Christ-centered support—keeping our communities healthier in body, mind, and spirit.

Because of donors like you, we are able to lift up nurses who long to serve, heal those who are weary, and create healthier, faith-filled communities throughout Southeast Florida.

About Us

In 1738, Marie-Marguerite d’Youville founded the Sisters of Charity of Montreal. The Grey Nuns brought nursing services into the homes of the sick in North America. D’Youville is considered to be the mother of community health nursing.

The modern concept of parish nursing is attributed to Dr. Granger Westberg, a Lutheran minister who served as chaplain for a large Chicago hospital in the 1980s and saw the professional value of nurses.
